Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Cable Technician with a strong background in Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, Access Control, and WiFi-based setups. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network cabling systems, including fiber optics and structured cabling, as well as ELV systems such as CCTV, fire alarms, access control, and WiFi networks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, terminate, and test network cables including CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optics.
2. Install and maintain ELV systems like CCTV, fire alarms, and public address systems.
3. Configure and maintain access control systems such as keycard readers, biometric devices, and electronic locks.
4. Set up WiFi networks including access points, routers, and supporting infrastructure.
5. Ensure all cabling and installations adhere to industry standards and best practices.
6. Troubleshoot and repair network, ELV, and WiFi systems.
7. Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to meet project timelines.
8. Maintain documentation of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
9. Follow all safety protocols during installations and maintenance.
10. Provide end-user support and training as required.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications like BICSI, CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
2. Proven experience in network cabling, ELV systems, access control, and WiFi setups.
3. Strong knowledge in cable types, terminations, and installation standards.
4. Good understanding of access control and wireless technologies.
5. Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
6. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
7. Team player with strong communication skills.
8. Physically fit for lifting equipment, climbing, and on-site fieldwork.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Certifications in ELV, Access Control, or WiFi network technologies.
2. Hands-on experience with integrated security systems.
3. Knowledge of UAE/local building codes and ELV regulations.
4. Familiarity with IT network integration and infrastructure planning.
