Cafe supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Floor Supervision & Operations

  • Oversee the café floor during shifts, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to service standards.
  • Monitor staff performance and assign daily tasks to ensure efficiency.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across the café floor.

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Actively promote menu items, seasonal offers, and add-ons to increase sales.
  • Train and motivate staff on upselling techniques and customer engagement.
  • Build customer relationships to encourage repeat visits and loyalty.
  • Assist management in meeting sales targets and contributing to business growth.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise and support waitresses, baristas, and service staff during shifts.
  • Lead by example in professionalism, service delivery, and sales approach.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members.
  • Ensure proper communication between floor staff and kitchen/barista team.

Reporting & Administration

  • Assist in preparing daily sales reports and shift summaries.
  • Monitor inventory on the floor (beverages, supplies) and report shortages.
  • Support management with promotional events and campaigns.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Female candidate (required).
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor, Head Waitress, or similar role in a café/restaurant.
  • Strong sales and upselling skills, with proven ability to achieve targets.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
