The Campus Director is responsible for the leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight of a university campus. This position ensures the effective delivery of academic programs, student services, and campus operations in alignment with the institution’s mission, goals, and policies. The Campus Director serves as the senior administrator at the campus and is the primary liaison between the campus and university leadership.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Management
- Provide visionary leadership and management for all campus operations.
- Supervise academic deans, program directors, faculty, and administrative staff.
- Ensure alignment of campus goals with the overall strategic direction of the university.
Academic Oversight
- Collaborate with academic leadership to ensure the quality and integrity of academic programs.
- Monitor and support faculty performance, instructional delivery, and curriculum implementation.
- Oversee academic advising and student support services.
Student Experience
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Promote student retention, success, and satisfaction through effective programs and initiatives.
- Address student concerns and act as a liaison between students and the administration.
Operations & Compliance
- Manage campus budgets, facilities, staffing, and operational functions.
- Ensure campus compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee safety and emergency procedures.
Community Engagement & Outreach
- Represent the campus in the local community and develop partnerships with businesses, organizations, and local government.
- Promote campus visibility and engagement through events, partnerships, and outreach.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Lead campus planning initiatives and contribute to institutional strategic planning.
- Prepare and present campus performance reports to university leadership.
- Analyze data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:Education:
- Master’s degree required; Doctorate preferred in Higher Education Administration, Business, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education administration.
- Proven experience in campus operations, student services, or academic leadership.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, staff, and facilities effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements in higher education.
