Caregiver

Caregiver:
Under the direction and supervision of the Supervisor/Manager, the Caregiver delivers personal care services to patients. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for patients by providing essential care and support.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and escort assistance based on individual care plans, including grooming, dressing, peri-care, showers, bathing, toileting, housekeeping, meal preparation/feeding, and laundry.

• The report observed changes in patients' conditions in the interdisciplinary team.

• Demonstrate safe practices by using proper body mechanics, adhering to universal precautions, and maintaining environmental safety.

• Interact professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, encouraging participation in conversations and activities.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of experience working with the elderly or frail population.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexibility to work in various environments, including homes and centers.

• Positive can-do attitude, conscientiousness, compassion, and thoroughness.

• Computer system literacy

• Valid CA Drivers license

• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association

• Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, or any other language is highly preferred

• Home Health Aide in the State of California highly preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stoop, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions of the wrist and hands.

• Must have visual acuity.

• Ability to lift/move weight within individual physical capability, use appropriate lifting devices, or request assistance when needed.
