Carpenter

Job Purpose:

Responsible for fabricating, installing, refurbishing, and maintaining carpentry works, interior fittings, and fixtures in accommodation and office premises. Works primarily in a workshop and occasionally on-site assignments.

2. Key Responsibilities: • Fabricate and assemble wood and plastic units and fittings. • Install, repair, and maintain cabinets, cots, workstations, and other fixtures. • Measure, mark out, and set out jobs accurately on-site. • Ensure machinery and tools are maintained and functioning correctly. • Estimate material quantities and job costs. • Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs. • Respond promptly to maintenance requests while minimizing disruption to staff.

3. Minimum Qualifications / Education Experience / Knowledge: • Vocational course in Carpentry. • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience. • Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, and equipment. • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and supervisors.

4. Skills & Attributes: • Attention to detail and quality workmanship. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments, including long hours, weekends, and holidays. • Mindful of cost efficiency in materials and project timelines.

5. Working Environment: • Workshop-based with regular travel to on-site locations as required. • Physically demanding role requiring hands-on work with tools and materials.

6. Reporting Line: • Reports to: Admin Executive / Facilities Assistant Manager.

7. Performance Indicators: • Quality and accuracy of completed work. • Timeliness in meeting installation and maintenance schedules. • Adherence to safety and operational standards. • Efficient use of materials and resources, with minimal waste. • Cost-saving measures implemented without compromising quality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
