Job Responsibility

The following section outlines a more detailed, but not exhaustive, description of the duties pertinent to this post.

Key responsibilities and capabilities:

· Receive and receipt school tuition/fee payments; and to accurately report this information to the school Accounts Officer.

· Disbursement of petty cash as instructed by school Accounts Officer.

· Reconcile and balance petty cash.

· Prepare banking deposits as requested.

· Prepare Bank, Cash and Supplier reconciliation.

· Keep and maintain all records of fees, records pertaining to other school income and financial transactions.

· Assist the school Accountant and Assistant Accountant in day-to-day accounting procedures.

· Provide administrative support to Head of Accounts and Finance Manager

· Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment

· Working with spreadsheets, sales, general ledgers and journals.

· Preparing Invoices/Payment Letters to parents & also raising the Invoices in The Accounting System.

· Managing Daily Cash /Cheque Transactions (Also Deposits) , Raising Payment Receipts ,

· Making Cash Collection Reports.

· Controlling Customer credit and chasing debt.

· Reconciling finance accounts (Bank Accounts Etc.)

Person Specification :

· Sound Accounting knowledge

· Excellent administrative and organisational skills

· Professional telephone manner combined with a high level of spoken and written English

· A keen eye for detail and a methodical and diligent approach to ensure

· Quality and accurate results to any given task

· Great customer service orientation

· Computer literate including use of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel

· Able to adapt quickly to change

· Effective communicator

· Professional appearance

· Commit customer first principles i.e. goes the extra mile and follows-up & follows through
