Job description:
Job Title: Cashier
The Cashier is responsible for handling all customer transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining cash control, and ensuring a smooth and professional billing experience. The role also includes supporting front-of-house operations and providing excellent customer service in alignment with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers courteously and process payments accurately through POS systems (cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers, etc.).
- Ensure all sales are properly recorded and receipts are issued for every transaction.
- Maintain an organized and balanced cash drawer; reconcile cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Handle refunds, exchanges, and discounts in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate with service and kitchen teams to ensure accurate billing and smooth operations.
- Assist in daily sales reporting and submit cash summaries to the Accountant / Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cashier counter and POS area.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries or refer complex issues to the supervisor.
- Follow company cash-handling, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cashier in the Food & Beverage or Retail industry.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Honest, reliable, and able to handle cash responsibly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible with shifts.
