Category Officer/Executive - House Hold

Job description:

  • Assist in developing and executing category strategies for Household items.
  • Conduct regular market research to analyze customer needs, competitor pricing, and product trends.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement, negotiation of prices, and smooth delivery.
  • Support in planning and execution of promotions, campaigns, and seasonal assortments.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal availability across all stores/warehouses.
  • Track category performance through sales reports, margins, and stock turnover.
  • Liaise with merchandising, supply chain, and store operations to ensure plan implementation.
  • Assist in evaluating new product introductions and phase-out of slow-moving SKUs.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and resolve supply issues proactively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in category management, buying, or merchandising of House Hold products.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis
