Description

The Catering Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of staff, ensuring efficient management and achievement of targets. The role involves delegating day-to-day responsibilities to the catering team to produce and deliver high-quality, cost-effective food services.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the House Manager to meet customer needs, handle booking demands, and maintain high standards of catering provision within budget.
  2. Operating and controlling food-related services, including developing interesting and innovative menus.
  3. Monitoring food quality, portion control, dietary provisions, and food service delivery.
  4. Maintaining accurate record-keeping, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock control, and ensuring costs stay within budget.
  5. Ensuring high levels of cleanliness in accordance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations, reporting defects and breakdowns, and assisting with statutory risk assessments.
  6. Monitoring stock control and ordering records to ensure cost accuracy within budget.
  7. Identifying staff performance issues and supporting staff development related to catering and domestic requirements.
  8. Participating in service development activities, attending meetings, taking minutes, assisting in marketing strategies, and undertaking necessary training.
  9. Performing additional duties as assigned by the House Manager, which may include weekend work.
