Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Charge Nurse - LDR (Labor, Delivery, Recovery) based in Kozhikode. The Charge Nurse will oversee the daily operations of the labor and delivery unit, facilitate patient care, and manage nursing staff schedules. The role involves ensuring compassionate and timely care for patients, monitoring labor and postpartum stages, and guiding staff in maintaining clinical best practices. The Charge Nurse will also ensure adherence to hospital protocols and work collaboratively with the medical team to guarantee optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Leadership skills, team management, and the ability to coordinate nursing staff effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in clinical decision-making and problem-solving under pressure.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license and relevant certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Experience in an LDR unit, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
