Supervision & Management:
- Supervise, guide, and manage the nursing team to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Schedule nursing shifts, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Delegate nursing duties and tasks to appropriate staff members.
- Conduct performance appraisals and support professional development of the nursing team
Patient Care:
- Oversee the delivery of patient care to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Ensure that patient assessments, interventions, and evaluations are completed correctly.
- Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals in patient care planning and execution.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and infection control within the nursing unit.
- Ensure adherence to medical protocols, hospital policies, and national healthcare regulations.
- Monitor nursing activities and ensure they align with legal and ethical standards.
Training & Development:
- Organize and provide training programs to improve the knowledge and skills of nursing staff.
- Ensure the nursing team stays up-to-date with the latest healthcare practices, medical technologies, and regulations.
Administration:
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
- Manage the inventory of medical supplies and ensure timely ordering of materials.
- Handle the scheduling of nursing staff for various shifts and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for communication between nursing staff, physicians, hospital administration .
- Address patient complaints, concerns, and ensure their resolution in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A registered nurse (RN) with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing or equivalent).
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a clinical nursing role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
Licensing:
- Valid and active nursing license (state or national level).
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or as per facility requirements).
- Additional certifications in leadership or nursing management may be advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in nursing processes, clinical protocols, and healthcare management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- In-depth knowledge of infection control protocols, patient care standards, and medical safety practices.
