Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Patient Care
- Ensure safe, evidence-based care during labour, delivery, and immediate post-partum period.
- Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing and ensure timely escalation to obstetricians when required.
- Ensure adherence to labour room protocols, partograph usage, and emergency drills.
- Assist and supervise normal deliveries and coordinate with doctors for operative deliveries.
- Ensure newborn care practices including resuscitation readiness, APGAR documentation, and mother-baby bonding.
Operational & Unit Management
- Oversee day-to-day functioning of the LDR unit.
- Ensure availability and functionality of all equipment, instruments, and emergency drugs.
- Maintain adequate stock of consumables and indent as per requirement.
- Coordinate with OT, NICU, blood bank, pharmacy, and housekeeping for smooth operations.
- Ensure infection control practices including aseptic techniques and biomedical waste segregation.
Staff Management & Supervision
- Prepare duty rosters ensuring adequate staffing as per nurse-patient ratio.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide staff nurses, ANMs, and support staff.
- Conduct orientation and on-the-job training for new staff.
- Monitor staff performance and report issues to Nursing Superintendent.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and discipline.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹48,000.00 per month
