Job Description – Accountant Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to manage the financial health of our diverse business portfolio, including real estate development, education, and the beauty industry. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic insights to support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
  • Analyze trends, costs, revenues, and obligations to forecast future financial performance.
  • Provide management with financial insights and recommendations on resource allocation, tax strategies, and budgeting assumptions.
  • Compile and analyze account information to prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries.
  • Record and document all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Audit and substantiate financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain internal controls by recommending and enforcing financial policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by gathering and analyzing account data.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present results to management.
  • Provide technical accounting support and advice to management.
  • Review and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial standards setting.
  • Support and oversee the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Direct and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with legal and tax regulations.
  • Supervise and guide junior accounting staff and clerical team members.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Communicate effectively with management, external auditors, and clients.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or Professional Certification such as ACCA/CA/CPA preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, ERP, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple businesses/divisions simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.

Reporting To

Chief Executive Officer / Business Director

Compensation

Competitive salary with performance-based incentives, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs85,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
