Location: LOKAL Flagship x DHA-Karachi​
Department: Kitchen ​

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at LOKAL Flagship x DHA-Karachi. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in food preparation, team leadership, menu development, and kitchen management.

The chef will be responsible for maintaining food quality, hygiene standards, inventory and cost control while delivering a memorable culinary experience to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and execute high-quality meals in line with hotel standards
  • Design and update menus based on seasonal availability, guest feedback, and food trends
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including, kitchen helpers, and cleaning staff
  • Maintain proper inventory of kitchen supplies and food stock, and coordinate with admin department
  • Monitor food costs, portion control, and waste reduction strategies
  • Ensure kitchen operations comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Work closely with F&B and service staff to ensure smooth meal service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints related to food quality professionally
  • Lead by example and create a positive working environment in the kitchen

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Head Chef or Sous Chef in a hotel or restaurant setup
  • Degree or diploma from a recognized institution is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, hygiene practices, and food safety standards
  • Ability to manage kitchen budgets, costs, and staffing schedules
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills ∙Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Creativity and passion for food presentation and innovation
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs85,000.00 per month
