We operate a fried chicken-focused restaurant located in Bahria Town, Lahore. We take pride in serving crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned fried chicken that keeps our customers coming back. We also operate a cloud kitchen from the same facility, serving a variety of cuisines to a growing online customer base.
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef who specializes in fried chicken preparation and has a strong command of flavors, marinades, and frying techniques. The ideal candidate will take ownership of our kitchen, maintain consistent food quality, and help us grow both our dine-in and cloud kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fried chicken to Hens Den's signature standards, ensuring consistent taste, texture, and presentation across every order.
- Develop, refine, and maintain recipes for marinades, coatings, sauces, and sides.
- Manage day-to-day kitchen operations including food prep, cooking, plating, and quality checks.
- Ensure proper oil management, frying temperatures, and cooking times for optimal results.
- Oversee inventory, ingredient freshness, and stock levels; coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards throughout the kitchen.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and helpers.
- Manage order flow efficiently during peak hours for both dine-in and cloud kitchen orders.
- Collaborate with management on menu development, seasonal specials, and new product ideas.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience working as a chef, with hands-on expertise in fried chicken preparation.
- Strong knowledge of marination techniques, breading, batter preparation, and deep frying.
- Ability to maintain consistent food quality and portion control under high-volume conditions.
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene, food storage, and safety practices.
- Good team management and communication skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working in or managing a cloud kitchen setup with multiple brands or menus.
- Versatility in preparing a wide range of cuisines and recipes beyond fried chicken (e.g., burgers, wraps, rice dishes, BBQ, pasta, Kashmiri cuisine, Italian etc.).
- Familiarity with food delivery platforms and packaging standards for online orders.
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
