Chief Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Record and review journal entries for all accounting and business transactions using SAP FI and related sub-modules (GL/AP/AR/AA).
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with Egyptian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
• Manage daily accounting operations, including payments, reconciliations, and compliance with tax regulations.
• Reconcile monthly and year-end trial balances, ensuring accuracy of financial records.
• Prepare monthly reports such as bank reconciliations, aging payables, fixed asset registers, prepaid settlements, and accrual positions.
• Support external auditors during quarterly and year-end reviews.
• Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual results with budgets and provide insights into key drivers.

Qualifications:

• Education : BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration. IFRS Diploma or CMA required.
• Experience : Minimum 8 years in corporate accounting, auditing, or financial reporting (SAP FI experience essential).
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in SAP FI and ERP systems; advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, statistical modeling, advanced formulas).
• Analytical Skills : Strong ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Financial Acumen : Solid understanding of accounting standards, financial analysis, and reporting methodologies.
