Job Title: Chief Accountant

Location: Qatar

Requirement: Valid Qatar ID with Change of Sponsorship (Mandatory)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chief Accountant to lead and manage our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting leadership roles, preferably within the construction industry, and a strong background in group or consolidated financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage the accounting department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

· Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements for multiple subsidiaries/entities.

· Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.

· Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and external regulatory requirements.

· Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.

· Implement and optimize accounting processes and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 preferred).

· Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to the accounting team.

· Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

· Collaborate with senior management on strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

· Professional certification (CPA, CA, CMA) is highly preferred.

· Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.

· Prior experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred.

· Strong experience in group or consolidated accounting across multiple entities.

· Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX, 365, or similar platforms).

· In-depth knowledge of IFRS or GAAP.

· Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.

· High level of analytical skills and attention to detail.

Mandatory Requirements:

· Valid Qatar ID.

· Eligible for immediate Change of Sponsorship.

· Ready for immediate joining.
