Role Objective
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, providing leadership across the organization’s financial, operational, and project management functions. The CFO is responsible for financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, governance excellence, and profitability enhancement. The role will drive financial strategy, strengthen internal controls, optimize performance across departments, and oversee major projects to support CBC’s long‑term growth and operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities

Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with CBC’s growth and long-term vision.

Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles to support strategic objectives.

Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR, IFRS, and KSA ZATCA regulations.

Strengthen internal financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management systems.

Oversee company and client financial management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the Managing Director and leadership team.

Manage the financial aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with budgets, profitability goals, and compliance standards.

Support strategic operations and cross-departmental collaboration to optimize efficiency and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership

Provide strategic leadership to the Finance Department, ensuring accuracy, full compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement in financial operations and team performance.

Develop, implement, and continuously improve monthly board reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Strengthen the company’s internal financial and operational structure to ensure it is well-prepared for potential mergers, acquisitions, and joint venture opportunities.

Oversee company and client financial operations including bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT, tax filings, and financial reporting.

Develop and maintain effective budgeting, forecasting, and reporting systems to support decision-making.

Implement internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure transparency.

Lead external audits, manage relationships with financial institutions, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Provide financial analysis, variance reporting, and profitability assessments to the Managing Director.

Drive improvements in capital structure, liquidity, and cash flow management.

Identify and implement strategies to optimize costs and enhance overall financial efficiency.

Mentor and develop finance team members, setting clear KPIs and promoting professional development.

Provide financial input into pricing strategies, business structuring, and investment decisions.
Strategic Operations Management

Support the Managing Director in implementing business strategies and monitoring company performance.

Negotiate and manage relationships with financial institutions and external partners to secure funding and facilitate mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic growth initiatives.

Lead the alignment of departmental goals with corporate objectives through regular performance reviews.

Develop and implement project management frameworks to streamline execution, resource allocation, and risk monitoring.

Ensure the company’s operational and financial systems capture accurate data for informed business decisions.

Foster a collaborative working environment across departments to strengthen delivery and accountability.
Project Oversight

Oversee ongoing and upcoming projects to ensure timely completion, quality output, and adherence to budgets.

Monitor project-based financial performance, ensuring profitability and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with Project Managers and department heads to mitigate financial and operational risks.

Drive the development and refinement of project management methodologies, tools, dashboards, and reporting templates to standardize execution across departments.

Oversee post‑project financial evaluations, including lessons‑learned assessments, profitability reviews, and recommendations for improved financial governance.

Support business transformation initiatives and process improvement across finance and operations.
IT
Provide strategic oversight of the company’s IT function to ensure technology systems.

Collaborate with the Managing Director to define and implement the organization’s technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with growth plans and regulatory requirements.

Evaluate technology investments and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring strong ROI, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation.

Oversee IT controls, cybersecurity frameworks, and data‑protection policies to safeguard company and client information.

Drive periodic audits of IT systems to assess vulnerabilities, strengthen access controls, and mitigate risks.

Negotiate with technology vendors, software providers, and IT service partners to secure favorable pricing, terms, and performance SLAs.

Monitor IT-related expenditures, ROI, and performance metrics to ensure effective utilization of technology resources.
Business Growth

Act as a key architect of CBC’s growth strategy, supporting the Managing Director in scaling the organization.

Conduct financial modelling and scenario planning for headcount expansion, new service lines, and new market entry, ensuring scalability is financially viable and aligned with long‑term strategic goals.
Fundraising and Capital Strategy

Develop and execute a comprehensive funding strategy that aligns with CBC’s growth plans, expansion into new markets, and diversification of service lines.

Assess capital requirements and determine optimal funding structures (equity, debt, hybrid instruments, or internal reinvestment) to support both short‑term liquidity needs and long‑term strategic objectives.

Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and potential funding sources to ensure CBC has access to competitive financing options.

Manage end‑to‑end fundraising processes, including documentation, valuation considerations, covenant negotiation, and financial structuring.
Experience and Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Professional certification (CPA / CA / ACCA / CFA) is mandatory.

Minimum 15+ years of progressive financial management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or CFO role within the corporate services or professional services industry.

Proven experience in in financial strategy development, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance.
-
Strong understanding of IFRS, tax regulations, and project-based financial management.
-
Experience in implementing and optimizing ERP or financial software systems.
