Role Summary
We’re hiring a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) — a hands-on, growth-driven leader to architect and scale our marketing function from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic builder who thrives on combining vision with execution to create a category-defining LegalTech brand and a high-performing growth engine.
As CMO, you will own the company’s full marketing strategy — spanning brand development, demand generation, partnerships, content, and the customer lifecycle. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team to meet defined performance KPIs while positioning the company for long-term market leadership.
You’ll design and orchestrate a multi-channel marketing ecosystem that integrates paid, organic, and partner-driven growth — across Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Email, SMS, and emerging digital platforms. Beyond digital, you’ll elevate brand perception through events, PR, podcast production, and thought leadership.

What You’ll DoLeadership & Strategy
- Build and lead a high-performance marketing organization across brand, content, affiliate, and demand generation. Translate business objectives into marketing strategies, execution plans, and measurable KPIs tied to company growth.
- Define and own the go-to-market strategy, positioning, and segmentation across key legal verticals.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Data to align on pipeline creation, messaging, and customer acquisition economics.
Brand, Communications & Thought Leadership
- Craft and evolve the company’s brand narrative — including positioning, promise, and differentiators — to establish category authority in LegalTech.
- Own corporate communications, media relations, and PR strategy, building credibility with legal professionals and the SaaS ecosystem.Lead podcast production, industry events, and community programs to deepen engagement and extend the company’s influence.
- Partner with HR to advance employer branding and attract world-class talent.
Multi-Channel Growth & Demand Generation
- Architect, execute, and scale integrated marketing campaigns across Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, Meta, Email, SMS, SEO, and partnerships.
- Build an always-on demand engine connecting awareness → lead → trial → paid → retention, ensuring clear attribution and ROI.Drive channel experimentation, testing, and optimization to improve conversion rates and payback periods.
- Align creative, content, and analytics to continuously refine performance against CAC, LTV: CAC ratio, and revenue growth targets.
Product, Content & Customer Lifecycle
- Develop educational and conversion-oriented content — case studies, webinars, tutorials, and onboarding materials.Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to increase activation, adoption, and retention through lifecycle marketing.
- Ensure all messaging reflects legal industry standards, compliance, and ethical communication principles.
Partnerships, Affiliates & Ecosystem
- Launch and manage affiliate, referral, and partnership programs to expand reach and pipeline generation.
- Build strategic alliances with legal consultants, bar associations, and technology partners.
- Oversee joint campaigns and co-marketing initiatives, measuring performance with clear ROI tracking.
Marketing Operations & Analytics
- Build the marketing operations infrastructure, integrating CRM, automation, analytics, and reporting systems (HubSpot, GA4, Salesforce, etc.).
- Establish real-time dashboards for full-funnel visibility — from spend efficiency to pipeline impact.
- Own data-driven budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting to guide executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, advertising, and legal communication standards.
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of progressive marketing leadership, ideally in B2B SaaS (LegalTech or professional services tech preferred).
- Proven track record building and scaling marketing teams and infrastructure from the ground up.
- Deep expertise in multi-channel acquisition, lifecycle, and partner-led growth.
- Mastery of marketing tech stacks — CRM, automation, analytics, and attribution systems.
- Experience creating affiliate and co-marketing programs that directly drive revenue and pipeline.
- A rare balance of creative brand leadership and data-driven performance management.
- Exceptional leadership, storytelling, and collaboration skills across Sales, Product, and Executive teams.
- Strong understanding of legal market dynamics, compliance, and industry nuances (a plus).

Pay: $75,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
