About the Role
This is a senior technology leadership role with broad ownership across network infrastructure, IT systems, digital platforms, and enterprise technology operations. The person stepping into this position will be responsible for turning commercial and operational priorities into clear technology roadmaps, dependable delivery plans, and stable day-to-day execution, while raising standards around resilience, security, scalability, and cost efficiency. It will suit someone who brings real telecom depth, sound technical judgement, and the ability to lead large transformation programmes without losing control of operational performance.
Responsibilities

Own end-to-end technology delivery and operations across network infrastructure, IT systems, digital platforms, and enterprise environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.

Translate business priorities into executable technology roadmaps, delivery plans, and operating strategies that support core business objectives.

Define and enforce enterprise architecture, technology standards, and design principles to ensure consistency, interoperability, and long-term sustainability across systems and networks.

Oversee service availability, resilience, incident management, and recovery processes, ensuring operational performance meets agreed service levels and business expectations.

Drive continuous improvement in automation, operational efficiency, and technology reliability while actively managing technical risk, obsolescence, and long-term platform health.

Enable revenue growth, digital propositions, and customer experience improvements by aligning technology capabilities with commercial opportunities.

Partner closely with commercial leadership to ensure technology readiness for launches, migrations, and wider transformation initiatives.

Lead senior technology teams, govern strategic vendors and sourcing arrangements, and strengthen critical technical capability across the function.

Support the transition of new technologies into core business environments with disciplined execution and operational stability across large-scale programmes.
Qualifications

You hold a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication Engineering and bring strong foundational knowledge across telecommunications systems, IT infrastructure, and enterprise technology environments.

You bring 15 to 20 years of experience overall, including at least 7 years in senior technology leadership roles within large-scale telecommunications or technology organisations.

You have strong experience across end-to-end technology delivery, IT strategy, network operations, and digital platform management in enterprise settings.

You have deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, technology governance, and the implementation of standards across complex systems and platforms.

You bring hands-on understanding of cloud computing, solution architecture, product management, SDLC, Java, and enterprise-scale IT systems.

You have managed strategic vendors, sourcing arrangements, and technology partnerships in large and complex operating environments.

You can translate business and commercial strategy into practical technology execution that supports growth, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.
