Job Summary
Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Children's D&D Game Master, where your creativity and leadership will ignite young imaginations! In this dynamic role, you will facilitate engaging Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) game sessions tailored for children, fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and storytelling skills. Your enthusiasm and expertise will create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment that encourages children to explore their creativity while developing essential social and cognitive abilities. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to combine your passion for gaming, education, and working with children into an unforgettable summer experience.

Each Summer Camp will be 1 week long, Monday through Friday from 1pm-5pm for age groups of 8-12 or 13-17 depending on the week. For many children this will likely be their first time playing D&D, but some children will be returning from previous years or may return for another week long campaign at a later point during the summer. For the campaign to fire at least 2 children must be registered for that week. If only 1 child is scheduled we will reschedule them for a future week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate age-appropriate D&D game sessions, guiding children through adventures that promote imagination, collaboration, and critical thinking
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere where all children feel comfortable participating and expressing themselves
  • Manage group dynamics with effective classroom management techniques to ensure positive interactions and behavior management
  • Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to store safety protocols and maintaining supervision during activities
  • Provide clear instructions, support storytelling elements, and adapt gameplay to suit different age groups and skill levels
  • Maintain organized records of game progress and participant engagement throughout the camp session

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, or camp settings is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons or similar tabletop role-playing games is essential; experience in game mastering or storytelling is a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills to handle group activities effectively and foster a positive environment
  • Background in teaching, tutoring, or early childhood education to support developmental needs of young campers is preferred.
  • Experience in theater or acting can enhance storytelling capabilities and engagement with children
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles to support diverse needs

Join us this summer as a Children's D&D Game Master—a role that combines fun, education, and leadership! Bring your passion for gaming and working with kids to create memorable adventures that inspire confidence, creativity, and camaraderie among young campers.
