nwe are looking for a chocolatier who specializes in designing, tempering, molding, and decorating confections using pre-processed chocolate (couverture).
Key Responsibilities
- Production: Tempering, melting, molding, filling, and coating chocolate items.
- Artistry & Design: Creating, designing, and decorating chocolates, including high-end showpieces and customized, seasonal items.
- Recipe Development: Experimenting with flavors and textures to create new products or improve existing recipes.
- Quality & Safety: Ensuring all products meet brand standards and maintaining strict, consistent kitchen sanitation and HACCP procedures.
- Inventory Management: Managing raw materials, ensuring proper storage temperatures, and overseeing, or assisting with, production schedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of chocolate tempering, molding techniques, and confectionery, often requiring training as a pastry chef.
- Creativity: Artistic ability for designing and decorating.
- Precision: Meticulous attention to detail for both taste and presentation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in pastry, chocolate production, or a professional kitchen setting (often 2-3 years for higher-level roles).
