Civil Engineer Project Manager

Civil Engineer Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. They ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the specified quality and safety standards. Their role combines technical expertise in civil engineering with leadership and project management skills to coordinate teams, resources, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing all phases of the construction project lifecycle, from design through construction and final delivery.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Managing project timelines, ensuring that milestones are met, and addressing any delays or issues promptly.
  • Overseeing resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and building codes.
  • Preparing and presenting project reports, including progress updates, financial status, and risk assessments.
  • Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure that work is progressing according to plans and specifications.
  • Mitigating risks by identifying potential issues early and implementing corrective actions to avoid delays or cost overruns.
  • Managing client relationships, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Expertise in civil engineering principles and construction processes.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders, clients, and teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve challenges efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of project risks and quality control processes.
  • Ability to manage construction contracts and procurement processes.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering).
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Master’s degree in Project Management or Civil Engineering (optional but preferred).
  • Extensive experience in civil engineering design, construction, and project management roles.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record in project management.
  • Previous experience in managing large-scale construction projects, including residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
