Civil Helper – Road Works
Job Summary
The Civil Helper supports road construction and maintenance activities by assisting skilled workers, handling materials, and ensuring work sites are clean and safe. The role involves physical labor and working outdoors under the supervision of site engineers, supervisors, or foremen.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist masons, operators, and supervisors in road construction activities
- Help with excavation, leveling, and filling of soil, gravel, and asphalt
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools
- Mix concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials as directed
- Support laying of curbs, pavements, drains, and road surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work site
- Follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment
- Assist with setting up barricades, signs, and traffic control measures
- Perform basic maintenance of tools and equipment
Requirements & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of civil or road construction work (preferred)
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of safety practices on construction sites
- No formal education required (training provided on-site)
