We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for litigation by organizing case files, drafting legal documents, and managing deadlines using document management systems such as Mycase.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case strategies across diverse.
  • Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and pleadings for accuracy and compliance; perform proofreading and transcription tasks as needed.
  • Manage case files electronically and physically, ensuring all documentation is properly filed, organized, and easily accessible for attorneys and staff.
  • Support project management efforts by coordinating interviews, client meetings, court filings, and document review processes efficiently.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients through professional phone etiquette; prepare summaries of case developments for attorney review.
  • Provide administrative support such as data entry, scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, and supporting the overall workflow of the law office.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal experience with a strong background in litigation support in personal injury and workers' compensation law.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with document management systems like Mycase.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in all materials.
  • Experience with legal administrative tasks including filing (both electronic and paper), data entry, and document review.
  • Knowledge of project management principles within a law office setting; ability to coordinate interviews and client communications effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with effective communication skills; professional phone etiquette is essential.
