Role Objective

We are looking for a dedicated Civil QA/QC Engineer to ensure that all civil and structural works on-site comply with project specifications, approved shop drawings, and international building codes. You will act as the quality bridge between the site production team and the Consultant, ensuring "Right First Time" execution to avoid costly re-work.

  • Material Quality: Conduct MIRs (Material Inspection Requests) for all civil materials (Steel, Concrete, Waterproofing, Masonry) to ensure they match approved submittals.
  • Structural Compliance: Verify reinforcement bars (Rebar) against bending schedules and ensure proper concrete cover and shuttering stability before pouring.
  • Testing Oversight: Coordinate with third-party labs for soil compaction tests, concrete cube/cylinder crushing tests, and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) if required.
  • Non-Conformance (NCR): Issue internal NCRs for substandard work and lead the "Root Cause Analysis" to prevent recurrence.
  • Finishing Standards: Oversee architectural civil works, including blockwork, plastering, and tiling, ensuring they meet the required aesthetic and tolerance standards.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Standards Mastery: Strong knowledge of ACI (American Concrete Institute), ASTM, and British Standards (BS).
  • Quality Systems: Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
  • Documentation: Expert in maintaining Pour Cards, Concrete Logs, and Site Observation Trackers.
