Civil Supervisor

We are hiring Civil Supervisor

Job Description:

• Read and review Fiber Optic related project drawings.
• Liaising with engineering (planning and Operation) teams to ensure that the project design is accurate before work commences.
• Inspect assigned project sites w.r.t. Underground civil and Aerial works and evaluate contractors’ work in order to detect problems as per defined SOPs.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety standards ensuring they are being applied by the contractor and maintained during delivery
• Ensuring adequate sample inspections, for submitted and agreed milestones, are taken across the build phase for all field activities.
• Prepare reports and document project activities and data as required.
• Report and solve the problems occurring at project site to superiors and negotiate changes to resolve system conflicts.
• Conduct the field survey and supervise the civil work.
• Investigating and resolving customer complaints.
• Acting as the main point of communication between the main field and the office.
• Able to read duct and OFC plan and implement in the field.
• Populate Fast field delivery, PATs & Snagging reports daily.
• Understand Fiber Optic Splicing plans and its implementation in field.
• Ability to perform Optical PAT of the fiber optic splicing work done and removal of snags.
• Ability to manage Local Authority stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Strong network build management background
• Good understanding of Fibre-based telecommunications
• Delivery Management, delivering to pre-defined project schedules.
• Subcontractor management/auditing in the field (Mainly Fibre Optic Related Civils)
• The ability to work in different environmental conditions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Education:

• Matriculation/Intermediate/Diploma holder

Experience

• Experience of doing fiber optic splicing work and related planning for execution of tasks
• Must have minimum 5+ years of experience in civil work and OFC and duct laying
