Civil Technical Office Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • ​Shop Drawings & BBS: Prepare, review, and finalize detailed architectural and structural shop drawings, coordination drawings, and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for approval.
  • ​Technical Submittals & RFIs: Prepare and manage Material Submittals, Method Statements, and Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure timely approval from Consultants.
  • ​Quantity Surveying & Material Take-Offs: Perform accurate, drawing-based quantity take-offs for procurement and progress measurement, ensuring zero site wastage.
  • ​Variation Support: Assist the commercial team by analyzing design changes, preparing technical back-up documentation, and quantifying Variation Orders (VOs).
  • ​As-Built Documentation: Coordinate and prepare accurate As-Built drawings and project handover packages upon project completion.

Requirements:

  • ​Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • ​Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a technical office role with reputable main contractors.
  • ​Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), MS Office, and structural/architectural drafting tools.
  • ​Strong background in local authority regulations, building codes, and material specifications.
  • ​High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and good command of English.
