Claims Management Department – Junior & Senior Specialist


About this Role

The Claims Management Department plays a crucial role in Milli Re’s underwriting and operational activities by handling claims efficiently and accurately. The team ensures that claim notifications and assessments are conducted in line with contractual terms and best practices. The role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in reinsurance claims handling, documentation control, and communication with international cedants, brokers, and reinsurers.

This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop a career in the reinsurance field within a dynamic work environment.

Job Description & Responsibilities

The Junior and Senior Specialist will support the company’s claims management activities by:

• Registering, monitoring, and processing inward and outward reinsurance claims.

• Coordinating with internal departments, cedants, brokers, and reinsurers to ensure timely information flow and settlement.

• Reviewing claim documents and verifying compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

• Preparing claim summaries and management reports.

• Supporting technical accounting teams during claims payment.

  • Supporting retrocession team with claim notifications to retrocessionaires
  • Providing Claims feedback to the underwriting teams

• Maintaining accurate claim data within company systems and digital archives.

• Participating in process improvement initiatives and supporting automation/digitalization projects related to claims handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,

• Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).

• Strong data literacy and reporting skills. (BO, Power BI)

• Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance principles is an asset.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of reinsurance software is an advantage.(SICS)

• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High sense of responsibility, eagerness to learn, and proactive mindset.
