Client Success & Operations Associate (Part-Time --> Full-Time Growth Role)

Intersection Compliance helps businesses stay in good standing with cities and states through our subscription-based municipal compliance platform. We manage all annual city/town requirements for companies that want to stay compliant without the red tape.

We’re a Detroit-based startup modernizing how compliance is handled — building technology that simplifies what has traditionally been complex, manual, and frustrating.

Our affiliated firm, Intersection Consulting Group, provides complementary advisory and consulting services. This role will support both organizations through smart operations, data management, and light financial coordination.

About the Role

We’re hiring our first Client Success & Operations Associate — a detail-oriented, tech-savvy professional who enjoys process improvement and supporting both client success and business operations.

This position will start at approximately 20 hours per week, with the intent to expand to full-time (40 hrs/week) within 3–6 months as the company scales.

The Associate will work at least 8 hours per week in-person at our Detroit location, collaborating directly with the founder and contributing to platform development. The remaining hours may be performed remotely. In-person time is expected to increase as the platform evolves and our subscriber base grows.

Key Responsibilities

· Client Success & Case Management

· Onboard new clients into the Intersection Compliance system

· Track licensing deadlines, renewals, and required filings

· Communicate with clients and municipal agencies as needed

· Maintain accurate and organized records

· Platform Operations & Data Management

· Enter, verify, and maintain structured data in our compliance platform

· Identify workflow issues or system bugs and suggest improvements

· Test new features and provide feedback to developers

· Contribute to building standard operating procedures (SOPs)

· Operational & Financial Support (Consulting Division)

· Prepare and track client invoices and payments

· Record transactions and expenses in QuickBooks (or similar system)

· Reconcile data and help maintain basic financial accuracy

· Manage organizational memberships and renewals

· Provide administrative support for consulting engagements

What We’re Looking For

  • Highly organized, dependable, and proactive
  • Comfortable with data systems, CRMs, or workflow platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic familiarity with bookkeeping or financial recordkeeping (QuickBooks, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience in operations, compliance, or client services a plus
  • Interest in helping refine and grow a technology-driven business
  • Ability to work on-site in Detroit at least 8 hours per week

Schedule & Compensation

  • Hours: ~20 hours/week to start
  • Hybrid Schedule: Minimum 8 hours/week in-person (Detroit); remainder remote
  • Transition: Expected to grow to full-time within 3–6 months
  • Work Type: Hybrid
