We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cold Kitchen Chef (Garde Manger) to prepare and present high-quality cold dishes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for salads, appetizers, cold cuts, sandwiches, and plated cold items while ensuring excellent presentation, freshness, and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a variety of cold dishes including salads, dressings, appetizers, sandwiches, canapés, and cold platters
- Ensure all food is prepared fresh, with high standards of taste, quality, and presentation
- Maintain proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients in accordance with food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies for the cold kitchen section
- Control food cost, minimize waste, and ensure efficient use of ingredients
- Collaborate with the hot kitchen and pastry teams for menu coordination
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold kitchen area
- Follow hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times
- Assist in menu development and suggest new ideas for cold dishes
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a cold kitchen or similar role within a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment
- Knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and cold kitchen techniques
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in plating
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-volume or fine dining establishments
Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
