John Zink, A Koch Engineered Solutions Business, is seeking a techno commercially- minded Combustion Solutions Manager to lead aftermarket, turnaround, and lifecycle combustion solutions from Saudi Arabia (based in Dammam). This regional, field-facing role will provide technical-commercial leadership on customer accounts and work closely with regional teams to protect and grow the installed base, capture revamp and parts opportunities, and improve cross-functional execution.

The Combustion Solutions Manager will work with Regional Customer Advisors, Strategic Account Managers, Sales & Applications, Engineering, Product Lines, Service, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to deliver value-driven outcomes for customers.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a team of Regional Customer Advisors to manage plant-level customer engagement for assigned accounts, leveraging both commercial and technical expertise to deliver mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Execute proactive turnaround and maintenance capture activities: map maintenance cycles, engage early in planning/specification phases, and position John Zink solutions for parts, revamps, and lifecycle scopes.
  • Operate with clear accountability while collaborating with the Middle East Commercial Leader for regional priorities and guidance.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to prepare competitive, cost-effective proposals and ensure seamless execution from quoting through delivery and aftermarket support.
  • Utilize CRM and market intelligence to prioritize accounts and opportunities, focusing field effort on highest-value work.
  • Implement structured opportunity qualification, pipeline management, and lessons-learnt feedback loops to improve win rates and execution quality.
  • Coach and develop customer-facing technical talent and ensure knowledge transfer across the team.
  • Improve tools, templates, and decision-rights to streamline handoffs and reduce process waste.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in combustion systems, burners, flares, thermal oxidizers, boiler burners, or related process equipment in industrial markets.
  • Proven experience in aftermarket, revamp, or turnaround capture and customer engagement.
  • Ability to lead customer-facing technical teams and collaborate across commercial and technical functions.
  • Strong commercial discipline: opportunity qualification, value-based pricing, and CRM-driven pipeline management.
  • Familiarity with field and plant-level customer interaction in the Saudi and GCC market and regional cultural dynamics.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Deep understanding of Saudi Arabia industrial account environments and maintenance/turnaround practices.
  • Experience working with Strategic Account Managers and influencing early specification/FEED stages.
  • Track record of winning competitive installed-base conversions and recovering missed aftermarket opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success implementing operating model change, embedding disciplined processes, and using digital tools to reduce quoting cycle time.
