Diesel Mechanic
Oilfield and/or construction equipment maintenance and repair experience highly preferred. This position requires hands-on repair of drilling rigs, diesel engines, hydraulics systems, cranes, PTOs, transmissions, air compressors, mud pumps, drawworks, trucks, tractors and other mechanical machinery. Shop is located in North Harris County. Both shop and field work in Houston area.
Compensation Package: Up to $30.00/hour with frequent Overtime FOR A QUALIFIED APPLICANT WITH THEIR OWN TOOLS!

Schedule:
10 hour shift Monday - Friday. On Call and Weekend availability preferred.
Job Duties
· Rebuild, maintain and repair diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, hydraulic cranes, hoists, air compressors, drilling and service rig engines, mud pumps, rotary tables, drilling swivels, kellies, backhoes, forklifts, and other mechanized equipment.
· Diagnose any mechanical, electrical or other breakdown or failure to company trucks and other mechanized equipment.
· Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters, digital multimeters, calibrators and other electronic diagnostic tools.
· Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the component parts and systems on trucks and other mechanized equipment.
·MAY Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to position equipment for repair.
· Apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, and OSHA rules and regulations.

Qualifications
- Heavy Duty Diesel diagnostics proficiency
- Mechanical knowledge and experience
- Ability to use hand tools effectively
- Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of transmissions, air brake systems, and alignment
- Familiarity with hydraulics, suspension, and HVAC systems
- Ability to work with heavy equipment and industrial machinery
- Strong customer service skills
- Welding and fabrication experience a bonus
- EPA and OSHA certifications are beneficial
