Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes as directed by the Chef de Partie or other senior chefs.

· Perform basic food preparation duties including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.

· Adhere to recipe specifications and cooking techniques to produce dishes according to the restaurant’s high standards of quality, portion sizes, and presentation.

· Keep your workstation clean, organized, and sanitized, ensuring that the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations. Always follow food safety and sanitation protocols.

· Assist in setting up and organizing your section before service, ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are prepared and ready for use during service.

· Guided and assisted by Commis I when necessary, ensuring that kitchen procedures and safety protocols are followed.

· Ensure that kitchen tools and equipment in your section are well-maintained, cleaned, and functioning, report any issues to senior chefs for repair.

· Collaborate with other kitchen staff and contribute to creating an efficient, organized, and positive working environment during service.

· Continuously learn and refine your cooking skills by observing and assisting the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Head Chef in the preparation and cooking processes.

· Follow and enforce strict health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.

· Support receiving deliveries, checking for quality and storing items correctly. Assist with labeling, dating, and rotating food stock to ensure freshness and avoid waste.

· Attend training and development programs to enhance culinary knowledge and skills.

· Remain flexible and willing to assist in other sections of the kitchen when needed.
