Commi Pastry Responsibilities:
We are seeking a talented COMMI PASTRY to join our team, specializing in cakes. The ideal candidate will have experience in baking a variety of cakes and will ensure that all products are fresh, tasty, and visually appealing.
1)Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes according to the menu and chef’s guidelines.
2)ensuring high quality and consistency.
3)Station Management: Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all food is prepared in a timely manner and to the required standard.
4)Supervision: Oversee junior kitchen staff, provide guidance, and ensure they follow proper cooking techniques and safety standards.
5)Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, including ordering and stocking ingredients, and minimizing waste.
6)Hygiene and Safety: Ensure that all food preparation and storage areas meet hygiene and safety standards. Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
7)Menu Development: Collaborate with senior chefs to contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to the current menu.
8)Quality Control: Perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in a similar role or relevant culinary training. Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Skills: Strong culinary skills, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
Team Player: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team and take direction from senior chefs.
Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient workflow.
Passion for Cooking: A genuine passion for food and the culinary arts, with a desire to learn and grow within the industry, and the ability to make customize cakes.
A COMMI often acts as a vital link between the head chef and junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and high standards of food quality.
✓ High school diploma or Degree.
✓ Proven food preparation and food handling experience.
✓ Working knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
✓ The ability to follow standardized recipes.
✓ The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
✓ The ability to work in a team.
✓ Excellent communication skills.
SALARY: up to AED 2200 to AED 2,500 based on experience. (All Inclusive)
WORK LOCATION: Abu Dhabi, UAE
AVAILABILITY: Can join immediately (Preferably Candidates on a Cancel Visa or a Visit Visa)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent
