Job Title: Commis – Bakery
Job Summary:
The Commis – Bakery will assist in preparing, baking, and presenting bakery products, ensuring high quality and consistency while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and baking of bread, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items.
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
- Ensure bakery products are produced to standard taste, texture, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section.
- Store ingredients and finished products properly to maintain freshness.
- Assist senior bakers in daily operations and follow instructions.
- Comply with hygiene, safety, and food handling regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and equipment.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or culinary certificate in Baking & Pastry (preferred).
