Job Purpose:
Execute the seamless preparation and timely service of high-quality food items, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards, efficient inventory management, while actively contributing to sales growth and an exceptional customer dining experience in our cafe.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation and Customer Service
- Skilfully prepare a variety of kid-friendly dishes, ensuring they are served with excellent quality, correct taste, temperature, and visual appeal.
- Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines for all food items.
- Contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of the cafe, focusing on timely food preparation and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
- Deliver excellent customer experiences by providing prompt and friendly service while addressing any customer concerns or inquiries related to food items.
- Create a positive and engaging atmosphere within the cafe, contributing to a welcoming environment for both children and their families.
2. Inventory Management and Ordering
- Oversee inventory levels and records, implementing efficient ordering processes.
- Purchase daily consumables for the cafe, maintaining a well-stocked and functional environment.
- Conduct regular checks to change date labels on food stock/Ingredients and remove old or expired stock.
- Manage cafe orders, including both routine inventory and specific daily-use items.
3. Records and Compliance
- Maintain temperature records for food items to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Utilize the Foodwatch app for monitoring and managing food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Keep accurate records of food items, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
4. Cafe Maintenance and Cleaning
- Perform oil cleaning of kitchen equipment and execute deep cleaning routines to maintain hygiene and extended equipment life.
- Execute deep cleaning routines in the cafe area to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Complete opening and closing checklists to ensure smooth operational transitions.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment, actively participating in daily and weekly cleaning routines.
