Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Commis Chef to join a kitchen team in a luxury / 5-star hotel environment. The ideal candidate will support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and ensure high standards of food preparation, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes
  • Support Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in assigned work areas
  • Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients
  • Assist in basic food prep and mise en place
  • Comply with HACCP and food safety standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Commis Chef in a hotel or restaurant environment preferred
  • Luxury / 5-star hotel experience is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of international cuisine and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

Preferred:

  • Culinary diploma or training certificate
  • Previous experience in hotel kitchens
