Job Description – Communications and MediaCoordinator

Job Type: 7 hours per week, salaried

Schedule: Flexible

Pay: $15.00/ hour

We are seeking a Christian, competent, and motivated Communications Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role will work directly with the pastoral team to provide all pieces necessary to provide clear and transparent communication with the congregation.

Skills and Qualifications:

● Committed to Celebration’s mission and values

● Strong verbal/written skills

● Computer literate (Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Mail Chimp, Canva, etc.)

● Attention to detail

● Self-motivated

● Team player

● Organizational skills

● Protects confidential information

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

● Update Celebration’s online content: events, social media, webpages, etc.

● Coordinate communications: sending out weekly prayer requests; generating church newsletters and mass emails; distributing leadership and committee meeting minutes; creating graphics that are clear and informational; updating and overseeing social media, and creating social media posts and reels for church events.

● Attend meetings as required.

● Assist in special projects that forward the mission of Celebration UMC.

● Other duties as assigned.

Some on-the-job training is offered upon hire.

Reports directly to pastors.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brandon, SD 57005
