Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Communications Officer to lead internal and external communications. The role involves managing digital presence, creating content, facilitating communication with partners and high-level stakeholders, and supporting strategic discussions. This position offers an opportunity to drive impactful communication and advocacy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategies to promote organizational programs and impact.
- Draft, edit, and disseminate newsletters, case studies, social media posts, and other communication materials.
- Manage and grow digital presence across social media platforms and website.
- Create promotional collaterals, IEC materials, and advocacy briefs.
- Facilitate communication between the office and high-level partners, stakeholders, and government officials.
- Plan and execute online events, webinars, and campaigns.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on communication effectiveness.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Development Communication, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in communications.
- Proven experience managing social media for organizations or campaigns.
- Experience in content creation, public relations, or digital communications.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency with website platforms (WordPress, Wix, or equivalent).
- Strong social media management skills including strategy, posting, advertising, and analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (other languages a plus).
- Strong interpersonal, project management, and time management skills.
- Ability to simplify complex information and present it in engaging formats.
- Knowledge of social issues, human rights, or advocacy is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Contract Details
- Type: 1-year rolling contract
- Probation: 6 months
