Company Secretary (CS) – Legal & Compliance Associate

Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Company Secretary (CS) to manage and support the day-to-day legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate laws, regulatory frameworks, and practical experience in handling legal documentation, company governance, and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all routine legal and corporate governance matters of the company.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (Companies Act, SEBI regulations, RBI guidelines, etc.).
  • Draft, review, and manage agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain statutory registers, filings, and records, including Board Resolutions and Annual Filings.
  • Coordinate with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and legal consultants for filings, approvals, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in managing internal policies, code of conduct, and corporate governance frameworks.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise management about required actions.
  • Support the leadership team in corporate decision-making from a legal perspective.
  • Assist in dispute resolution and litigation management, if any.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure legal compliance in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Company Secretary (CS) with ICSI certification.
  • 1+ years of practical experience in corporate legal and compliance functions, preferably in a startup or fintech environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate laws, regulatory frameworks, and compliance processes in India.
  • Good drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to fintech regulations or financial services industry compliance.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance best practices.
  • Experience with legal research and handling government filings.

Compensation:

3 – 4.8 LPA (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
