Role Overview
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that Cubit Insurance’s business operations remain fully compliant with FCA regulations, UK insurance legislation, and internal policies. The role involves compliance monitoring, risk assessment, documentation, training support, and regulatory reporting. This is an on-site role based in Johar Town, Lahore, requiring availability during UK business hours.
Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor and ensure adherence to FCA regulations, UK insurance legislation, and industry standards
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes impacting insurance broking activities
- Conduct regular compliance reviews, audits, and file checks
- Assist with preparation of regulatory reports and submissions
Policy & Procedure Management
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures
- Review and update compliance documentation in line with regulatory changes
- Ensure staff training materials reflect current compliance requirements
Risk Management & Monitoring
- Identify, assess, and report compliance risks across the business
- Maintain and update the compliance risk register
- Monitor complaints handling processes for regulatory compliance
- Perform compliance testing and quality assurance reviews
Training & Advisory Support
- Provide compliance guidance and advisory support to staff
- Deliver or support compliance training sessions
- Act as a point of contact for compliance-related queries
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive compliance records
- Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management
- Track remediation actions and follow up on compliance issues
- Support internal and external compliance audits
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in compliance, preferably within financial services or insurance
- Strong understanding of UK FCA regulations and insurance industry requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently in an on-site professional environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Desirable Requirements
- Professional compliance qualification (e.g., ICA Diploma in Compliance or similar)
- Previous experience working with a UK-regulated firm
- Knowledge of insurance broking operations
- Experience with compliance monitoring tools or systems
- Understanding of UK GDPR and data protection regulations

Working Hours
Monday to Friday 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (UK-aligned shift)
