The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. The role involves developing and implementing compliance programs, monitoring regulatory requirements, conducting investigations, assessing risks, and promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry requirements and ensure timely implementation within the organization.
  • Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
  • Investigate compliance violations, misconduct, and regulatory concerns, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including AML, KYC, data protection, and corporate governance standards where applicable.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, documentation, and audit trails.
  • Provide guidance and support to departments on compliance-related matters.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and external stakeholders regarding compliance matters.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across business operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
  • Experience in policy development, compliance monitoring, and risk assessment.
  • Experience in banking, fintech, financial services, telecommunications, or corporate compliance.
  • Knowledge of AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), sanctions screening, and regulatory compliance requirements.
