This role will be based in our Dubai office, supporting the growing operational needs of our multinational business.
Job Summary
The Compliance Specialist ensures that all medical repatriation and evacuation operations comply with regulatory requirements, healthcare standards, insurance rules, and internal policies. This role supports safe, ethical, and lawful handling of patient cases, client onboarding, debt recovery, data protection, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Partner Due Diligence
- Conduct KYC and due diligence checks on clients, insurers, hospitals, and service providers
- Review contracts and agreements to ensure regulatory and compliance alignment
- Verify credentials of medical partners, transport providers, and vendors
Case & Operational Compliance
- Review medical repatriation cases to ensure:
- - Proper authorizations and consent
- - Accurate documentation
- - Compliance with data protection laws (e.g., patient confidentiality)
- Support operational teams with compliance guidance during urgent cases
Risk Management
- Identify compliance risks related to medical evacuations, patient transport, and cross-border services
- Assist in developing and maintaining risk assessment frameworks
- Report compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions
Complaints & Incident Handling
- Support investigation of client complaints, service issues, and compliance incidents
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action planning
- Maintain accurate records of complaints and resolutions
Policies, Training & Reporting
- Assist in developing and updating compliance policies and procedures
- Support staff training on compliance, data protection, and ethical standards
- Prepare compliance reports for the management
Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of compliance, risk management, regulatory frameworks, and debt recovery practices
- Understanding of healthcare services, insurance, or medical operations (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to handle sensitive patient and client information
- Clear communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure in time-sensitive situations
- Self-motivated with the ability to think creatively and work with minimal supervision
- Flexible to work on weekends and night shifts
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Law, Risk, or Compliance
- Experience in compliance, healthcare administration, insurance, or medical services preferred
- Certifications in Compliance, Risk, or Healthcare Governance are an advantage
