Construction Foreman

Job Summary

The Construction Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating on-site construction activities. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to specifications. The Foreman leads crew members, manages daily operations, and serves as the primary point of contact between workers and management on the job site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities and crew assignments
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
  • Ensure work is completed according to project plans, codes, and quality standards
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members
  • Schedule labor, equipment, and materials efficiently
  • Communicate project updates to Project Managers and Superintendents
  • Inspect work progress and address issues or delays
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, and site documentation
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure alignment with project timelines

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (trade certification preferred)
  • 5+ years of construction experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Valid driver’s license
