Construction Manager

Cairo, Egypt

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring that construction activities are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership to coordinate subcontractors, site engineers, and workers, while maintaining compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and client requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Site & Project Execution

  • Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project drawings, specifications, and timelines.

  • Manage site staff and subcontractors, providing guidance, direction, and performance oversight.

  • Ensure proper execution of permits, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders on-site.

  • Monitor resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials, to avoid delays and inefficiencies.

  • Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

  • Report daily progress, risks, and site challenges to the Senior Construction Manager.

  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve design or execution issues.

  • Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution.

  • Participate in site meetings and provide updates on construction progress, milestones, and challenges.

Quality & Compliance

  • Conduct regular inspections to verify workmanship and ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and project specifications.

  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures on-site.

  • Review and approve site inspections, material submittals, and mock-ups.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly site progress reports, highlighting manpower, equipment, progress, delays, and corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including logs, photos, and updated schedules.

  • Support preparation of project closeout documents, including punch lists and handover packages.




Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in on-site construction management, preferably on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and local regulations in Egypt.

  • Proven experience in coordinating subcontractors and site teams.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.

  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
