Job Title: Construction Manager (Solar Projects)

Industry / Domain: Renewable Energy

Location: Saudi Arabia

Role Purpose

The Construction Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all phases of solar project construction — from planning to successful delivery. This includes managing schedules, budgets, quality, and safety standards while coordinating effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure timely and compliant project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation plans.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, control costs, and manage change orders to ensure financial compliance.

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Oversee selection, evaluation, and coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Site Management

  • Supervise day-to-day site operations, ensuring efficient use of manpower, materials, and equipment.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all works meet project specifications, drawings, and applicable quality standards.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with architects, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to communicate progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential construction risks and develop effective mitigation and contingency strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 8–10 years in construction management, preferably within solar tracking or renewable energy projects.
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in project and construction management software.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
