Position Summary:

The Construction Manager will be responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating all on-site construction activities for the harbor project. The role involves managing day-to-day operations of marine and civil works, including breakwater, quay wall, revetment, and boat ramp construction, ensuring that work progresses according to design, quality standards, safety requirements, and schedule targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities for marine and civil structures.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and equipment deployment.
  • Ensure implementation of design drawings, technical specifications, and quality control procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager and Engineering team to resolve design and site-related issues.
  • Monitor construction progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review daily site reports, manpower and equipment utilization, and material consumption.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements at all times.
  • Participate in technical meetings with consultants, clients, and suppliers.
  • Oversee concrete production, placement, and marine structure installation (e.g., armor units, quay wall blocks).
  • Verify and approve setting out, material testing, and quality assurance records.
  • Provide strong field leadership to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely execution of works.
  • Assist in preparation of construction programs, method statements, and risk assessments.

Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in marine and harbor works.
  • Proven experience in construction of breakwaters, quay walls, boat ramps, and other coastal structures.
  • Strong technical knowledge of concrete, geotechnical, and marine construction methods.
  • Sound understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Familiar with project planning and reporting tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO700.000 - RO800.000 per month
