Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day civil construction activities, ensuring works are carried out in strict accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project quality requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to facilitate seamless project execution and timely delivery of milestones.
- Prepare, update, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and action plans.
- Identify potential project risks, delays, or deviations, and propose corrective and preventive measures to mitigate impacts on schedule and budget.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to confirm compliance with approved submittals, method statements, and industry standards.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and inspection requests for technical accuracy and project compatibility.
- Enforce strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements, ensuring all site personnel follow established safety procedures.
- Assist in cost monitoring, procurement schedules, quantity take-offs, and preparation of interim payment certificates.
- Provide technical guidance to supervisors and site teams to resolve engineering or construction-related issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation including as-built drawings, inspection records, site correspondences, and project logs.
- Actively participate in progress, coordination, and client meetings, contributing technical inputs and project updates.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as value engineering, resource optimization, and cost-saving strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 8 -10 years of proven experience in site supervision and civil construction, preferably in large-scale residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools (MS Project / Primavera P6).
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, QA/QC standards, and local authority regulations.
- Sound knowledge of contract administration, material approval processes, and project documentation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills to manage multidisciplinary site teams effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving site challenges.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
- GCC work experience and a valid driving license will be considered an advantage.
