About the Role
This role supports the development of strategies, business plans, and budgets for the Development function, ensuring alignment with McDonald’s - RICC’s overall direction. It manages departmental budgets, oversees contractor relationships, and ensures compliance with construction agreements.
Responsibilities

Assist in developing the Development function’s strategies, business plans, and budgets in line with McDonald’s - RICC’s overall direction.

Manage the annual departmental budget, control expenditures, drive cost reduction initiatives, and report variances to ensure effective cost management.

Build and maintain professional relationships with contractors and consultants, ensuring adherence to construction agreements and contracts.

Review and analyze contractor specifications, schedules, and progress reports; recommend progress payments and final settlements upon project completion.

Evaluate project bids against selection criteria and recommend the most suitable contractors.

Prepare and manage engineering planning, work schedules, and control schemes; monitor performance at all locations to ensure projects are completed within budget.

Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the team to ensure construction activities meet requirements, specifications, and standards, and that all activities comply with relevant regulations and laws.

Oversee preconstruction site surveys and layout design.

Inspect completed work for constructed stores, ensuring best value and quality control standards for all development sites.

Manage and coordinate contract execution and quality control for construction and renovation projects; conduct regular site visits.

Ensure compliance of new stores and re-imaging projects with regional requirements.

Accurately estimate, execute, and oversee renovation, re-imaging, and installation projects, including civil and mechanical works.

Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor departmental workflow.

Plan, manage, and review individual performance; provide regular feedback, development, training, and coaching.

Monitor and implement departmental policies and procedures.

Encourage team members to suggest, participate in, and contribute to improvement, innovation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Finalize progress payments, settlements, and variation orders submitted by contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge & Experience

6–8 years of related experience in project and construction management.
Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
